About the Animals

Pharaoh

Pharaoh spent the majority of his career as a professional athlete. Pharaoh was bred to be “show horse” and excelled at this for many years with his first owner. Pharaoh later taught many kids how to ride as a lesson horse and has always been a barn favorite. Pharaoh now enjoys a life of semi-retirement but is always willing to help teach others. He loves spending time with his favorite girls, Starlight and Zoe.

Starlight

Starlight came to us from an auction so much of her history is unknown. Starlight required some physical rehabilitation from prior medical issues but has begun to flourish on her own. Starlight does not easily trust new people, but is interested in learning how to make new connections. You can most often find her with her best friend, Pharaoh.

Hank

Hank is the newest member of the herd after spending a lifetime as a carriage horse. Although his size can be intimidating, Hank is extremely kind, gentle and loves to make new friends. He is enjoying retirement with his new herd, but still loves to be loved by people.

Zoe

Zoe is our therapy dog in training. Zoe is still young and has a lot to learn. What she does know is that she loves people and wants to help everyone have a better day. Zoe is available for emotional support in office sessions or you just may see her hanging out with the horses—she is an unofficial part of their herd.
